CURRICULUM
This curriculum is part of a broader conservation partnership between U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Santa Barbara Zoo. Designed with Fillmore Unified School District students in mind, our project includes the development of this curriculum and nest monitoring strategies, as well as student field trips to Bitter Creek National Wildlife Refuge, Hopper Mountain National Wildlife Refuge, and the Santa Barbara Zoo. This curriculum will meet the Next Generation Science and Common Core Standards for each grade level.

Hard copies and PDF of the 3rd Grade curriculum available here!
In order to better understand the impact of CondorKids programming, we use a pre/post survey to measure any changes in attitudes, knowledge, or behavior associated with conservation and nature in general.

Please have your participating students complete the pre-survey before implementing CondorKids, and retake the survey within 2-weeks of completing the program. Surveys can be downloaded and completed digitally or on paper. Please contact daniel_cook@fws.gov to submit paper results.
